Garment Construction

Whether it’s your first time making clothes or perhaps you fancy taking on a more challenging project than you would alone, this is the perfect opportunity to work on creating your very own bespoke wardrobe.

Breaking the process down from understanding a commercial pattern and the terms used to achieving the perfect fit and finish,you will be supported through all the stages of making your own garment or accessory.

Knowing that not everyone can commit to a regimented course of a set number of weeks, our Garment Construction classes are run as our regular sewing classes allowing students to book as needed along with additional classes as demand requires.

You may book consecutive weekly sessions or come to a class to get started and then again when you need extra help.

You will have to pre book in order to ensure a space.

SKILL LEVEL: From Beginner onwards,if you know your way around a sewing machine and are confident with the basics of machine sewing then you should be just fine.

REQUIREMENTS: You will need to provide the pattern of your choice and all materials necessary to make your garment. Feel free to contact us about the suitability of your project for your skill level and don't forget we have a selection of fabrics, notions and haberdashery available to purchase at the sewing school.
