Introduction to Machine Sewing

This workshop is for those who have never used a sewing machine before and anyone who has a sewing machine languishing in a corner and would like a refresher on how to make the most of it.

From setting the machine up ready to sew, to the stitches available and how to use them, we’ll cover basic machine sewing techniques and good sewing practises.

 During the session you will produce a set of samples to refer back to and pick up trouble shooting tips along the way allowing you to get machining with confidence.

Once you are happy using a sewing machine you can sign up to one of the many classes suitable for beginners onwards to put your new skills in to practise.

SKILL LEVEL: Absolute beginners. No previous experience necessary.

REQUIREMENTS: All materials are provided. If you do have your own machine and would rather use it to get to know it better then you are very welcome to bring it along.
